Petrol prices cut for sixth consecutive day

For the sixth consecutive day, petrol prices have been cut across several cities of the country. The prices have been reduced by 15 paise. Whereas diesel prices too have been cut for the fifth time, in the last 6 days. Diesel prices were cut by 14 paise across various cities of the country. 

The combined cut for the last 6 days is nearly 47 paise for Petrol and 34 paise for Diesel. Prices vary in different states due to differences in state taxes. 

According to latest data, Petrol is Rs 77.96 in Delhi, Rs 80.60 in Kolkata, Rs 85.77 in Mumbai and Rs 80.94  per litre in Chennai. 

On the other hand, diesel prices stand at max of Rs 73.43/litre  in Mumbai.
