No alternate space to park vehicles, say angry Ahmedabad citizens

Parking vehicles illegally have become a major issue in the city, leading to traffic congestion and ruckus for the commuters. But one cannot blame the vehicle owners for parking their cars on 'No parking Zone' when there is no alternate space.

Lack of infrastructure for providing parking space to the commuter is forcing them to park the vehicles on the No Parking Zone. According to a senior police official, there are places like CG Road, Ashram Road, SG Highway, Prahaladnagar Road, Vastrapur Lake road, etc where No Parking signage are installed.

The number of vehicles in the city is increasing, but lack of facility is a major reason why people are parking vehicles on roads.
