The 23km Rajasthan border stretch adjoining Haryana has been sealed with immediate effect in view of upcoming the assembly election. Haryana and Rajasthan police will jointly monitor the border. This decision was taken in a meeting of police and administrative officials of both the states on Tuesday at Jaipur District Collectorate.
Jaipur Collector Siddhartha Mahajan, police officers of Jaipur district, district collector and police officers of Mahendergarh district of Haryana also attended the meeting. Mahendragarh is connected to the state's 23km border. There are 9 ways on this border, through which people can enter in Rajasthan. Jaipur Collector Siddhartha Mahajan instructed to seal the entire border including these 9 ways. According to sources, the two states agreed to jointly monitor the border. Rajasthan police will monitor six roads of the border order while Haryana police will monitor the three roads. Plans have been made to prevent the miscreants from disturbing the peaceful conduct of election. According to sources, alleged 35 miscreants of Haryana are under scanner. Jaipur collector directed the Haryana Police to stop them from entering Rajasthan. State Assembly elections will be held on December 7. Jaipur district is adjoined to the state of Haryana.
