World ATA Carnet Council meet in Jaipur

The World ATA Carnet Council (WATAC) meeting and workshop will be held in Jaipur on 15 and 16 November at Hotel Jai Mahal Palace and SMS Convention Centre respectively. The events aim to discuss and review various aspects pertaining to operation and administration of ATA Carnet System in member countries and to spread more awareness about ATA Carnet among Indian exporting fraternity & Indian customs.  

This is jointly organised by WATAC, Paris and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) under the aegis of Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, said Deputy Secretary General, FICCI, Nirankar Saxena.

On November 15, the inaugural session will be addressed by Special Secretary & Member (Customs), Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), Government of India, Pranab Kumar Das and Additional Chief Secretary Industries & CMD, RIICO Ltd, Government of Rajasthan, Rajeeva Swarup.

The inaugural session will also witness special addresses by Principal Additional Director General, Directorate General of Analytics and Risk Management (DGARM), Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, Government of India Sandeep Kumar; Consultant, Asian Development Bank, New Delhi, Satish Kumar Reddy;  Chair, World ATA Carnet Council (WATAC), ICC, Paris & Executive Director, Alliance des Chambres de commerce suisses, Switzerland, Ruedi Bolliger and Deputy Chair, WATAC, ICC, Paris & ATA Carnet Manager, Netherlands Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Netherlands, Henk Wit.
